This Bird Got Hooked

I found this Western Meadow Lark singing away on a fence book just like all the books illustrate. Beautiful! When I got home and had a closer look I noticed what appears to be a fish hook in his neck. Most likely from a fly fisherman waving his long line with a little fly for the fish, but the bird went after it and got it! However it did not seem to hamper his song.
