Below is another round of trail shots taken today, Sunday May 27, 2012. We monitor 46 nest boxes over 10 km’s of country roads. As of today we have 13 Bluebird Nests with 68 eggs – 25 Tree Swallow Nests with 0 eggs and 8 empty. We also encountered a different specie of Bluebird which will be either an Eastern or Western Bluebird. More on this next week.
Today was a cool morning, the males were busy feeding the females while they opted to stay in and keep her eggs incubated.
All photo’s taken by a Nikon D800 and without the use of a tripod.
